Taxes paid online

Every businessman in Albania who owns a smart phone or other internet
devices can receive information about his taxes and pay them from the
internet. The General Tax Directory offers two applications that will
allow them to pay without being physically present.

For PM Berisha, this is an important achievement in the “Digital Albania” program that reduces costs and increases service quality.

“This is a milestone, a transformation achieved in record time. I guarantee the Albanian citizens that online payment will be available within 2013”, Berisha declared.

The second application enables businessmen to check his tax situation at any time, and according to Berisha this way will reduce corruption and increase transparency.

“M-Albania aims to help all Albanian citizens with the services of this administration. We will gradually move to electronic currency, which is the cleanest, safest and more civilized”, Berisha declared.
