The construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, which will bring gas
from Azerbaijan to Europe, has brought to light another important
archeological site.
The site dates VI century a.d and its has a complex composition of structures and public objects, such as a chupal and also a bath, which dates to a alter phase, according to Lorenc Bejko, heritage expert.
This is one of the biggest and more complex sites that have been discovered by the construction of TAP in Albania.
“Not only we will be digging and documenting the site, but we also must deviate the pipeline from the original project”, Bejko said.
The Council of Restorations and the Ministry of Culture will be responsible for its preservation and studying further access to visitors.
