Taking the CEZ administration

The Energy Regulation Entity (CEZ) approved the regulation of the
procedures for appointing the administrator that will manage the energy
distribution system after CEZ will leave Albania, mentioning his rights
and obligations with ERE.

According to the 9-point regulation, the administrator should be experienced in energy and have no conflict of interest for his duty. He will administer the distribution system until a decision will be taken for passing the license to another subject.

The administration takes the CEZ company inventory ten days after the appointment, and is tasked to manage the activity and plan a financial improvement.

“Within 10 days after the appointment, he will take the inventory of the activities, the assets and the archive. He will plan and present for approval at the ERE the new structure, the wages and bonuses for employees. He will also take measures to preserve the activity of the company, to organize the work and manage its activity. He will stop the payment of dividents or the capital distribution for the shareholders and the payment of administrators right after it will be taken under administration. He will make a plan for improving the financial situation and another for paying the obligations to other parties, a plan that will be approved by the ERE”, decalred Eduard Elezi, legal director of ERE.

The ERE Commissioners asked that after CEZ will be taken by the winning candidate, there should be no vacuum in the distribution system management. For this reason, the procedure for finding the administrator starts right after the regulation is approved, in parallel to the license removal.
