Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Socialist MP, Saimir Tahiri, appeared at the Civilian Court of
Tirana for the trial in which he is sued by the Prime Minister’s
children for moral damages.
Argita Malltezi and Shkelzen Berisha, the daughter and the son of Sali Berisha, sued Tahiri on November 8th and asked 4 million ALL each for moral damages, after Tahiri declared on October 2011 that Sali Berisha is corrupted and his children are involved in corruption.
The Prime Minister’s children, both graduated in law schools, declared that these declarations have troubled their spiritual state and the honor of their image, by directly affecting the public opinion.
The trial started at 12:00 behind closed doors. Since Tahiri arrived 20 minutes later, the session was postponed to January 2012.
