In the trial of this Monday at the Supreme Court, was held another
session of the trial between the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri,
and the Democratic Party MP, Edi Paloka.
Tahiri presented the evidence for the slander of Paloka. The Court gave time to Paloka to get acquainted with the evidence and the next session will be held on June 29th.
In the last session, the Court was unable to make parties come to reconciliation. Tahiri told the court that he is ready to forgive Paloka if he admits publicly of having lied.
But the lawyer of Edi Paloka stood to his client’s version and didn’t withdraw the declarations. In these conditions, the Supreme Court said they need time to notify the Prosecution, since the reconciliation was not realized. But the absence of the MP in trial was considered by Tahiri as ignoring of the judiciary.
