The Socialist MP, Sajmir Tahiri, has been fined once again by the Tirana
Court. This Time Tahiri has to pay 700.000 ALL to Minister Genc Ruli.
Tahiri considered this another attack that aims to shut the opposition’s
voice.

The former Minister of Energy, Genc Ruli, was accused by Tahiri during a Parliamentary session of favouring the ACR Company that operates in Bulqize.

“These verdicts will not stop us. All Socialist Party members, and everyone who is dedicated to reveal the truth of the corruptive scandals led by this government and the Prime Minister’s family members, will never withdraw from this mission, no matter what the cost”, Tahiri declared.

According to Tahiri, Ruli postponed the payment of a fine by ACR, but the Prosecution did not investigate it, saying that there was no financial damage.

“I have an answer from the Ministry, with facts, showing the financial damage caused by Mr.Ruli. ACR has not paid the 1.69 million EUR fine. ACR has made no investments. The company has exported more than 800.000 tons of minerals, the value of which is around 10 million EUR. What more damages are they waiting to have before punishing Mr.Ruli for what he did? The public has two models today. The model of the government members who steal national assets from people, with the cost of lost lives, and the model of politicians punished for reporting corruption”, the Socialist MP declared.

Tahiri promised to continue his battle against Ruli.

“I will sue Ruli again, to see if there will be a case now that we have a real damage to the national asset and to the life of our people. This way we can oblige the Prime Minister to publicly answer for the Bulqize concession. I have appealed him several times in an interpellation, but he never answered. I will not stop, until he answers”, Tahiri declared.
