Tahiri: EU should pressure Serbia

The head of the Kosovo delegation for the dialogue with Serbia, Edita
Tahiri, declared that the EU must exert pressure against Serbia for
continuing the technical dialogue.

Tahiri gave this declaration during a meeting with the Slovenian Foreign Minister, Samual Zhbogar, in Ljubjana.

“EU, as mediator in this dialogue, has the necessary means for obliging both parties to cooperate”, Tahiri declared.

She blamed Belgrade for abandoning the next dialogue round, and asked EU to reward Kosovo with contractual relations for its readiness.

The dialogue round of 27 and 28 September failed due to Serbia’s attempts to impose dialogue topics.

The EU mediator, Robert Cooper, will visit Belgrade this Friday and Prishtina on Monday, for the new dialogue process.

The Serbian media notified that Cooper will talk with the Serbian authorities about the topics that will be treated in the next dialogue round.
