Tadic writes to Kosovo Serbs

The Serbian President, Boris Tadic, sent a letter to the Kosovo Serbs, inviting them to avoid violence.

This letter that spurred debates among the Serbian media, was not public and was sent to the Kosovo Serbs privately.

However, some sources say that Tadic has invited the Serbs to come up with a solution with KFOR, in order to overcome the problem and return circulation to the blocked roads.

The President’s letter says that KFOR must be allowed to circulate in northern Kosovo, because Serbia stands behind them politically and financially.

He says that he strongly supports the protesting Serbs, although Kosovo Serbs have not confirmed of having received such instructions.

The Serbian parties have invited KFOR to not use violence in north, because, according to them, all the Serbs want is peace and to live freely in their homes.

However, the Serbian representatives were unable to find an agreement with KFOR and EULEX for removing the roadblocks, what made the latter undertake measures for removing them through force.
