The Serbian President, Boris Tadic, declared that he is ready to meet
the Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, but only for discussing his
four point plan.
Speaking from the Bosnian city of Jahorina, where he met the Croatian and Bosnian homologues, Tadic declared that Belgrade is interested to hold discussions that could bring a solution for the Kosovo issue.
According to “REL”, the Serbian President insinuated that he has prepared a plan for Kosovo that proposes a special status for the northern area of Kosovo, mostly populated by Serbs.
The four point plan aims to resolve the Northern Kosovo issue, protect the Serbian monasteries, Serbian heritage, the Serbian population and their real estates.
When presenting this plan, Tadic declared that for its implementation Serbia will ask help from the great powers that oppose the Kosovo independence.
Prishtina has opposed this plan and PM Thaci declared fro REL that he is ready to meet, Tadic, but excluded any possibilities for any special status for North.
“The future of the northern Kosovo is the future of Kosovo, in respect of the Constitution, the rule of law and Ahtisari’s document. There will be no special status. This has never discussed or proposed by anyone”, Thaci declared.
