The 9th dialogue round between Kosovo and Serbia for normalizing the
relations between the two countries is being held in Brussels. The EU
highest representative of foreign policy met with both Prime Ministers
of the respective countries before the dialogue.
“The High Representative is committed in dialogue and her efforts are for an agreement. We believe that this agreement is on the interest of both parties, Serbia and Kosovo, but especially for the local population. It is important to understand that this will be an agreement between the two parties. We are intermediating, but tey’re the ones who must agree. Prishtina and Belgrade must find a solution”, declared Maya Kociyancic, Spokesperson for Ashton.
Thaci and Dacic have one day to find an agreement for the competences of the Serbian communes in Kosovo. Ashton should be in Bosnia on Thursday while next monday she has to report the results of this dialogue to the Foreign Ministers of the EU member countries.
