After Xhaka, Shaqiri, Behrami, Xhemali and Mehmeti, another Albanian player may join Switzerland’s national team for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Trainer Petkovic is expected to reveal the list with 35 football players who will start preparations. Swiss media say that among them is also Albian Ajeti, the 21-year-old forward of Basel. The player of Kosovo origin, (brother of Arlind Ajeti, Albania’s natonal team defender,), is the best scorer of the Swiss Super-League, with 16 goals.
De Biasi had put an eye on him in 2015 for Albania, but there couldn’t be an agreement.
The Ajeti brothers are well known in Kosovo, Albania and Switzerland.
