The Supreme State Audit has filed a criminal report against the leader
of the Foreign Project Department at the Albanian Road Authority, for
financial infringements at the Fier and Vlora bypasses.
SSA says they have verified bad management, payments of private contractors which violate their agreements, causing a 9.4 million EUR damage to the state.
The damage has been caused intentionally, to favor specific private operators, according to the SSA.
The Fier and Vlora bypasses should have been concluded years ago, but the constructions are still delayed due to problems with building companies.
