The Supreme State Audit declared that the public administration has
caused 26 million USD of damages for the first four months of this year.
Most of the damage is due to failed tax collection or spending abuse. The rest is related to disciplinary violations that have had a negative impact with the financial performance of the audited institutions.
The SSA says that most of the damage come from abuses with procurements, starting with the Road Authority. According to the SSA, more than 600 million ALL of damage were caused in the first four months of this year.
On second place come abuses with the tax office, 461 million ALL, and third come customs with 364 million.
The SSA say that they have sued seven officials, five of whom are under investigation.
