The Supreme Court has reconfirmed the arrest of the former Chief of Secret Service, Ilir Kumbaro.

The decision of the United College opens way to the Prosecution for asking his extradition.

The Albanian Prosecution will ask Kumbaro’s extradition to the British justice. Kumbaro is accused for the kidnapping and disappearance of businessman Remzi Hoxha.

The decision comes a few days after the family of the businessman from Macedonia asked his extradition by the Albanian government.

The appeal was made by the son of Remzi Hoxha, before the decision of the Supreme Court.

“We are here today to demand the Albanian system to bring justice by ordering the extradition of Ilir Kumbaro and show us that there is justice in Albania, that someone can live in Albania and that Albania doesn’t kidnap and kill the Macedonian and Kosovo Albanians.

Ardian Hoxha has recalled the names of the three other people who have been accused, together with Kumbaro: Arben Sefgjini, Budion Mece and Avni Koldashi. He says that Kumbaro’s lawyers, with the support of some individuals and the government, are interested to delay his extradition even longer.

“The truth will come out one day. The process is continuing and there are facts filed at the Prosecution showing that the people who were in power in 1995, who are still in power today, are involved in this murder”, Hoxha declared.

On October 21st, 16 days from the disappearance of businessman Remzi Hoxha, his family members will organize a protest in front of the British embassy in Prishtina, where they will appeal Kumbaro’s extradition to Albania.
