The Parliament Speaker and the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare,
inaugurate this Tuesday a manufacturing business that opened in Bilisht.
The employment of 520 women in this business was considered by Speaker Ilir Meta and Minister Erjon Veliaj as a social business that needs to be supported.
Meta declared that these investments are an extraordinary contribution for the community. He added that this activity remains a priority as regards employment and export.
“We encourage this investment to open new jobs. The manufacturing business affects the economic and social development of our country”, Meta declared.
For Minister Veliaj, these companies are not only a positive step towards the retirement pension reforms, but the Socialist Party and th Socialist Movement for Integration are preparing a law that will support the manufacturing businesses as one of the most important elements as regards employment, and for lowering the number of families that are treated with social welfare.
“Albania is more reliable for investors. Together with the Socialist Movement for Integration, we are preparing the special package for manufacturing business. Very soon there will be a better pension scheme”, Veliaj declared.
The manufacturing business in the southeastern part of the country is mostly made with companies coming from Greece, which move their activity to profit from the low labor cost.
