Support for Civil Society

Prime Minister Sali Berisha was present at the ceremony for the first
anniversary of the Civil Society Support Association, and considered the
civil society organizations as one of the main pillars of
democracy.

Berisha underlined the great need of the country to power up voluntarism and human solidarity.

Speaking on voluntarism, especially in environmental organizations, Berisha declared that this is a vital factor for the education of the Albanian society, so that the citizens treat the environment same as their homes.

Convinced that democracy cannot exist without a vibrant civil society and free media, Berisha appealed the donators to help the civil society, because generosity to them is a very important help for the Albanians that makes their society more transparent, more human and free.
