A suicide attempt in the center of Tirana fortunately ended without a tragedy.
50-year-old Xhemal Xhurra threatened to jump from a 84 meters high winch, at a construction site near the city center.
The 50-year-old was initially noted by passerby citizens, around 18:00, who notified the police. High rank police officers and the RENEA Special Forces were on the scene after a few minutes.
The RENEA Forces negotiated with the 50-year-old Xhurra for many minutes, until the latter decided to come down.
The motives are still unknown, while further investigations are expected to bring more details.
