Some areas of the country found themselves under the “power” of snow this morning, which caused some traffic circulation difficulties in the northern parts.
According to the Albanian Road Authority, snow has returned to northern Albania, respectively in the districts of Dibra, Kukës, Shkodra, Lezha, Puka, Peshkopia and Tropoja.
In Diber and in the Bajram Curri-Valbona road axis the thickness of snow reaches up to 40 cm but no wheel chains are recommended.
The problematic axes according to the ARA are Kuben-Vasie in Kalaja e Dodes, where chains are required due to frost, snow and winds.
Chains are also partially recommended on the Qafa Dragalica-Stebleva and Qafa Bualli-Krastes road axes.
