The Albanian State Police has played a significant role in another international operation against drug traffickers.
The international operation “Goldfinger” was coordinated by EUROPOL and was led by the authorities in Denmark.
The operation was extended in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia and Albania.
According to Reuters, this organization had its roots in Albania.
The Danish authorities, who led the investigation, have cooperated with the Prosecution of Serious Crimes in Tirana, and the Department of the Criminal Police at the State Police.
The operation led to the seizing of 1.65 tons of cocaine and heroin within EU countries, and 42 arrests.
