Strike delays ferries

The strike of the Bari Port employees in Italy has caused delays at the Durres Port.
The ferries arrived 6 to 7 hours later in Albania’s largest port. The delays have troubled not only the passengers, but also their relatives that waited them for hours.
The two Bari-Durres ferries, “Riviera Adriatica” and “Bridge”, have arrived after midday, while the third ferry “Ankara” arrived at 15:30. All of them should have arrived in the first hours of the morning.
The ferries belong to three different agencies that connect the two Adriatic coasts through the ports of Durres and Bari. The Customs and the Border Police took the necessary measures for processing as quickly as possible the documents of 500 travelers, 100 vehicles and 50 trucks filled with imported goods.
