The police has handed over to the police the declaration of a citizen
who testified that the weapon MP Gent Strazmiri was carrying when
photographed at the Tirana Artificial Lake, is in fact a gun he had
gifted to him.
The citizen named Pellumb Nili has declared that the gun is a “Heckler & Koch”, gifted by him. This has increased the suspicions of the police, which has taken in question this citizen. He declared that he had gifted guns to several citizens, one of them was Gent Strazimiri.
Police claims that the gun Strazimiri has handed over is not the one he had with him at the Tirana Artificial Lake. For this reason, the Police insists that the MP should be investigated by the Prosecution for illegal arm possession and for accepting a bribe.
Nine MPs have been reported at the Prosecution General after the protest at the Artificial Lake of Tirana. They are accused of opposing the police, property destruction and illegal manifestation.
