During the approval of the fiscal macroeconomic legal framework for
2013-2015, the Prime Minister Sali Berisha did not hide the fact that he
is thinking about the electoral campaign for a third mandate.

to the Prime Minister, 2013-2015 is decisive for the success of this third mandate, when he will receive the trust of the majority of the electorate.

“Naturally, it will be decided by the Albanians with their vote, but you must prepare your offer to receive the vote. You must prepare the project, with concrete actions, and not with empty fantasies. This program foresees a further economic growth and these two years are decisive for the mandate that will turn Albania into a developed country. A program that is based on the construction of hundreds of new schools, modern health centers and hospitasl, a new road network for Albania and a sensitive wage and pension increase”, Berisha declared.

According to the Prime Minister, this program keeps Albania as the country with the lowest fiscal burden in Europe, by making the Albanians benefit from the economic model of low taxes, without facing the punishment of the progressive tax, which was proposed by the opposition leader, Edi Rama, for scaring the businesses that do not sponsor him anymore.

“I guarantee you that Mr. Rama raised the progressive tax issue only for the group of businesses that do not sponsor him anymore, since he left the Municipality. When he was a Mayor, he never mentioned the progressive tax. Was there any program for the Tirana Municipality in which he said that he would raise taxes? He never did. His fiscal policy is a storm in a glass of water, which aims to scare a group of people that he cannot control any longer, because in fact those have been the ones who have controlled him, but it was mutual, and now they don’t have any passion for him”, Berisha underlined.
