The Serbian chief negotiator, Borko Stefanovic, will hold a meeting with
international officials before participating at the new dialogue round
with the Kosovo counterparts.

The news comes from Serbian media, saying that Brussels has accepted Belgrade’s request, which had set it as a precondition for the dialogue with Kosovo.

According to the sources, the Serbian official will meet the EU mediator, Robert Cooper and the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, with whom he will discuss about Bernjak and Jarinja border checkpoints.

The new dialogue round between Prishtina and Belgrade will be held on 27 and 28 September, in Brussels.

The Kosovo negotiator, Edita Tahiri declared that some of the topics that will be treated are telecommunication and energy.

However, Tahiri declared that they will also talk about the delays for implementing previous agreements.

She added that the talks will continue until the EU will consume all diplomatic means for pressuring Belgrade to implement the pacts.

The most recent dialogue round was held on September 2nd, when both parties reached an agreement for the Customs stamps and real estate registration.

These agreements were considered as very significant by Kosovo, while Mrs. Tahiri declared that Serbia admitted Kosovo’s independence with this pact.
