Stealing on behalf of disabled people

The Commission of Social Matters approved the draft-law for amending the
law about the disabled and blind people stats, only with Democratic
Party votes. The new law provides that from now on, the Council of
Ministers will be the one to sanction the benefits that the disabled
people will receive.
Referring to the disabled people accusations for an artificial inflation of their name list, the Social Service and Ministry of Labor officials admitted that there have been abuses.
“It resulted that we owe millions to CEZ. These lists are being redrawn with the names of the people who are abusing”, declared the representative Denada Seferi.
The former Minister of Labor and Social Matters, although he confirms that there are abuses from the transportation companies, he wants this law to be approved.
“Let we pass it as it is, every article of it, and give the necessary attention to a new integral law that will serve to all of us. I know the level of abuses that is being made by the transporters and CEZ”, declared Kosta Barka, MP of the United for Human Rights Party.
But the Socialist MPs asked the CEZ representatives to come at the Commission and get confronted with the lists, in order to realize who is inflating them and where is going the money that is being stolen from the state.
“We must discuss about a database that can be created for the disabled people, and confront them for verifying why there are inconsistencies. The Ministry has a list of 140.000 names of the disabled people”, declared Eglantina Gjermeni, Socialist MP.
The opposition did not accept to vote the draft without verifying the abuses, and left the room.
