In recent weeks the main topic of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has been the salary increase for all employees in the public administration.
Through an extraordinary meeting, the government approved the decision on these salary increases, which the prime minister said will have an effect on the budget, which completely affordable.
“It is one of the most marked days of my government.
“We have just agreed on the draft law for the new salary reform and we have sanctioned that within a year the average salary of the Republic of Albania will go from 563 euros to 900 euros for the state administraton” – said Rama.
Prime Minister illustrated the salary increase with several examples. “There is no greater satisfaction for me than to tell specialists in the central administration that their salary will go from 49,000 lek to 81,000 lek, or teachers in secondary education that their salary will go over 100,000 lek
“In basic education, the salary will go from 74,000 to 95,000” – he added.
“Nurses who will receive a base pay of 87,000 all and meanwhile this base goes beyond 90,000 all according to the positions at work” – Rama added, promising salary increases for other categories.
