State hospital doctors moonlighting

This is what the Health Minsiter declared for Top Channel, after announcing that the inspections against this phenomenon have started and that all abusers will be punished.

“All doctors are obliged to respect the time table and even come at work outside their shift, when they are needed. The Health Ministry will keep holding inspections for seeing their correctness and certainly, there will be administrative measures”, Tavo declared.

Another problem met by the patients is the fact that doctors try to attract them at the clinics where they work. According to the health Minister, the investment in technology, the increased quality in public hospital services and the motivation of the doctors financially would reduce this phenomenon, but on the other hand he asks the citizens to report such cases.

“As regards this case, it is very tangible one that patients are lured off the public hospitals and to the private ones. We are asking people in polls about their complaints, by even giving the names of the doctors in full anonymity, about the problems they have met in the public hospital services. We will also publish the patient’s card in every hospital door”, Tavo declared.

The Health Minister underlined that a special attention will be paid on ethics, the language that the doctor uses with the patient. He added that they are reviewing some specific cases.
