SSA inspects TSO

The Director of the Supreme State Audit (SSA) confirmed the start of an
inspection at the Transmission System Operator (TSO), regarding the
controversial construction tender of a power line between Kosovo and
Albania.

“Our inspection team is at the TSO. By respecting the standards, SSA will continue working until reaching the final inspection report”, Bujar Leskaj declared, as Director of the SSA.

The SSA signed a cooperation agreement with five organizations that are focused on war against corruption, government monitoring and other political and legal initiatives.

The Head of this institution, Bujar Leskaj, declared that the SSA is looking for civil society cooperation in order to coordinate their actions in service of the transparency of public institution activity and war against corruption.

“The signature of the cooperation agreement signs a new anti-corruption phase, because it creates constant contacts, brings experience exchange, etc”, declared Lutfi Dervishi, director of TIA for Albania.

During the signature of this agreement, Leskaj emphasized further cooperation with the Prosecution, in order to report corruption cases that are discovered during the inspection of state institutions.
