Three members of the tender commission and the chairman of the
Commission at the Interior Ministry were sued by the Supreme State Audit
for power abuse.

A press announcement from this institution says that the Commission of a tender has illegally disqualified bidders with lower prices.

The inspection was held this June at the Interior Ministry for the implementation of laws and regulations for the period 1 January 2011 to 31 August 2012.

After all procedures were implemented, it was noted that the law for public procurements was violated by the Commission of Public Procurement, and especially by its Chairman.

More concretely, the General Directory of Concentrated Procurements at the Interior Ministry, as Contractual Authority, has accepted economic operators who have offered worse bids than others.

Some of the other operators have complained for these procedures.

After reviewing the documentation, it was verified that the Commission has violated the public procurement rules and regulations.

There’s an economic damage of 225.6 million ALL and 163.8 million ALL during the procedures for providing food and cooking at the Military Base of Poshnje, and 61.8 million ALL for Zall-Herr.

SSA has reported the results at the Prosecution for power abuse against the Chairman of this Commission and three other members.
