
The Vice Chairman of the High Council of Justice, Kreshnik Spahiu
visited the family of the judge Skerdilajd Konomi, who was killed today
in Vlore.
Spahiu considered the murder of Konomi as a barbarian attempt against state institutions.
“The murder of Konomi was a barbarian attempt against the figures of the Justice System. Such crimes against Justice officials have not happened even during 1997. Albania is in alarm for the high level of criminality”, Spahiu declared.
Spahiu: Albania, not like Sicily of 50 years ago
The Vice Chairman of the High Council of Justice, Kreshnik Spahiu condemned the execution of Judge Skerdilajd Konomi in the city of Vlore.
During a press release, Spahiu declared that these terrorist executions should not take place in any country where there is law and order.
“This act is the continuance of several events and attempts against the judicial system in the last years, marking an unprecedented case since the times of Ismail Qemali”, Spahiu declared.
The second person in charge of the High Council of Justice asked this event to be treated with priority and bring the authors to justice, because this is an act against the justice structures.
“Albania aims to go towards EU and not Sicily of 50 years ago, where thejustice kneeled in front of the mafia and organized crime”, Spahiu declared.
