SP: Teachers fired for political motives

The opposition MPs asked the Education Minister, Myqerem Tafaj to
explain the firing of dozens of teachers and their replacement with new
and less educated ones.
“Corruption has been noted at the promotions, the way how teachers are hired, and then there is corruption with the school texts and even with the tests. This means that the new generation is being cultivated with the culture of corruption, not intentionally, but due to the incapacity to fight corruption, and this is a very big problem”, declared the Chairman of the Commission, Valentina Leskaj.
In this hearing session of the Education Commission, Minister Tafaj declared that such replacements, considered as political, will be investigated with a step by step procedure.
By November, all school directors will undergo a test, the results of which will give new promotions and new firings.
