SP sues Tirana’s Mayor

The Head of the Socialist Group of Tirana Municipal Councilors filed
another lawsuit against Mayor Lulzim Basha for infringing the law with
the concession of the “Italia” square, where the underground parking
will be constructed.
“We just filed a lawsuit against Mayor Lulzim Basha over power abuse. The suit is related with the concession of an underground parking in Tirana. Basha has infringed the law and has signed the concession himself, when it must be signed by 3/5 of the Municipal Councilors. When the former administration was unable to do this, with what attributes is Basha doing it by himself? The Prosecution must respond as soon as possible, otherwise Tirana will continue with projects that are against the law, which we are seeing everyday”, declared Aldrin Dalipi, head of the Socialist Councilors at the Municipal Council.
Dalipi asked the Tirana Prosecution to not delay the investigations against some lawsuits made by the Mayor, which started with the Skenderbej square works, which, according Dalipi, caused millions of EUR in damage.
