Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future After more than two hours of discussions, the Socialist Party published a
declaration through which it condemns the political stances of Prime
Minister Berisha in public secondary schools.
SP underlines that Berisha is violating article 32.4 and 32.8 of the pre-university education law, approved through consensus on May 2012. The law states that the pre-university education not only is depoliticized, but it is also categorically prohibited to organize political activities in these institutions, like those that the Prime Minister is holding.
“The Socialist Party will continue to strongly report this flagrant abuse of the children’s elementary rights”, the SP declaration says.
Confidential sources from the meeting declared for Top Channel that they have reviewed the organization issues of the Socialist Party, in order to reinforce the base structure before the next political elections. The party organization issues aim to fulfil the local structures in the municipalities where the elections for party leader in a local level are not over yet.
The same sources said that they studied the summoning of the National Assembly next week, where they will clarify the shape of the new political action between the Socialist Party in the beginning of the new electoral season.
Rama: Most corrupted government of the century
The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, reminded the Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha that he promised in 2005 to govern with clean hands from corruption, and that today it is resulting differently.
“Please remember the image of the man who today is Prime Minister, with the smiley face, combed hair and the promise to keep the clean hands in 2005. And look at what he has today. The ‘clean hands’ promise has turned into a reality of hands that have entered the mud of the corruption that makes this the most corrupted government in 100 years of Albanian government”, Rama declared.
Speaking about the education system in Albania, Rama compared it with the pyramidal schemes of 1997.
“This is a system that had in its principles the Ponzi scheme companies of Sude, Xhaferri. There is no greater shame that the only thing that the Prime Minister tells the country when he speaks about education, are the school buildings that are reconstructed by the communes, not by the government. Schools are built by municipalities and communes, not by Berisha’s pockets. These are the state budget money that belong to the communities. The government has to guarantee a good care of teachers”, Rama declared.
Rama promised a new approach in the management of the education system, promising to guarantee justice and social and gender equality.
