Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Socialist Party accused Shkelzen Berisha, the son of the Albanian
Prime Minister, of creating irregularities in the asset declaration,
continuing what they call a transparency for the “blue blockmen”.
Shkelzen Berisha declared that he has a private activity in the real estate business. If we see the asset declaration in two years, Shkelzen has declared a profit of 350.000 EUR in two years. A few minutes ago the Prime Minister declared that he will give to pensioners a bonus of 2000 ALL (20 USD)m while his son profits as all the 25.000 pensioners put together, 49 million ALL. And in this declaration, the Prime Minister’s son has forgotten to declare the company that has given him the profits, the address, the public registration number and the status of the company”, Balla declared.
According to MP Balla, this is not the only violation.
“Only in 2009 Shkelzen Berisha declared a growth of 310.000 EUR, while his revenues were less than 210.000. Here’s another suspicious violation, because he has not declared where the 100.000 EUR are coming from. We suspect that the people know where this money comes from. There are 140 million ALL that are not registered in the revenues of the Prime Minister’s son on the year when his father was stealing the elections, but they have been added to his account. On the year that Berisha was stealing the elections, his son increased the accounts and deposits with 310.000 EUR”, Balla declared.
The Prime Minister’s son must answer to the High Institute of Declaration and Audit of Assets for these irregularities. Another point of view of the Socialist MP is that these facts, together with the extreme wealth of the biological and political family of Sali Berisha, are an offence to all Albanians who are suffering the deepest economic and social crisis.
