The Socialist Party held a public hearing meeting this Monday about the Administrative Court.

The draft law for which the majority and the opposition have given consensus, is one of the drafts that requires 3/5th of the votes and that has stayed longer in the Parliament’s shelves.

It is about the Administrative Court, the review of which starts from the last legislature, in 2008, but that has not been approved by the Parliament after the two year long boycott by the Socialist Party.

After the agreement of November, the draft-law has come for review by expressing the political will for approval, and the Socialists have prepared some amends.

“The project is a possible basis that brings the approval of this law in principle”, declared the Socialist relator, Armando Subashi.

This positive development in the Commission of Laws has received the felicitations of Sali berisha, who asked the Socialists to stand to this political will until the end, which is necessary for fulfilling one of the 12 recommendations of the European Commission for receiving the EU candidate status.

“I hope that they will not change everything in the last moment, when Brussels will discuss for the progress of the reforms in Albania”, Berisha declared.

The PM also asked for this political will to be expressed by the Socialists for the limitation of immunities, repeating his stance that he was ready even for Constitutional amends.

The Socialist Party held a public hearing meeting this Monday about the Administrative Court.

The Secretary for the legal matters, Fatmir Xhafaj, presented the objectives of the Socialist Party, which, according to him are related with the quality and efficiency of the law.

“Our goal is to have a qualitative law. We will organize a series of consults with Tirana’s lawyers. We want to make improvements in this area, improving the law according to the international standards, because the current one has a series of problems”, Xhafaj declared.

The Socialist MP underlined that the SP is aiming to turn this law into an instrument in favor of the citizens, the businesses and the state itself.

“In this context, our goal is to have this law improved in the consult withy the international experts”, Xhafaj underlined, adding that the SP has its own concrete amends.

“We have engaged a group of experts with the good purpose to favor this project better, so that the law can be more stable in time”, he added.

Berisha: Rama, “architect” of the right wing

The Albanian Prime Minister answered to the opposition leader, Edi Rama, after the latter mentioned the division of the Albanian right wing party in three, between Berisha, the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, and the Red and Black Movement, Kreshnik Spahiu.

“As you have noted by his recent tweets and editorials, it is the effort of Mr. Rama for becoming architect of the Albanian right wing. After he ‘illuminated’ the left, bringing them from defeat to defeat, now they are trying to do it with the right wing. I say to Mr. Rama that the DP has a story since it foundation, in which everyone who has tried to tricked them, has failed”, Berisha declared.

Berisha also commented with irony the stance of Mr. Rama that between him and President Topi there had been no cooperation, and that Mr. Topi had even been against the SP.

“He obliged Bamir to vote for him, and now he is thinking in which corner to throw him. But don’t look at the Parliament’s corners”, Berisha declared.
