The Socialist Party advanced with the efforts for making a Parliamentary
reform, aiming to bring the Parliament to normal functionality,
which is the first of the 12 EU priorities.

The Socialist proposition that will be handed over to the Parliament Administration this Monday, for putting it in the schedule of the next Parliamentary sessions, was made public by the Socialist MP Ditmir Bushati.

“This Parliamentary reform will pass through two phases. The first one, which will be presented this Monday, is related with the Regulation amends, in order to bring a minimal consensus; bringing it where it was in 2009, for avoiding all unilateral amends that have asphyxiated the opposition’s parliamentary role. The second step will be to address to all gaps that were stated in the report, together with the majority, through a joint commission or joint work team, preferably with OSCE assistance”, Bushati declared.

Parallel to the propositions for the Parliamentary Reform, the Socialist Party is working for the amends of the Electoral Code.
