SP: EC report, an important instrument

The Socialist Party gave its stance about the progress-report
planned by the European Commission, valuing it as a very important
material.
“The EC report is a very important instrument for the democratization of our society and our road towards EU”, says the SP reaction.
The biggest opposition party in Albania valued the clear analyze that the EU Commission’s had made for Albania’s situation in the progress-report.
On the other hand, the Socialist Party highlighted the opposition’s will for exerting its responsibilities.
The reaction of the SP came after the EU ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi, handed the progress-report to the opposition leader, Edi Rama.
Earlier the day, Sequi handed the report to the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, who demanded both political parties to adopt a real EU behavior.
During the meeting of Sequi with the Prime Minister Berisha, the latter blamed the opposition for the Parliamentary boycott and for not voting the laws that required qualified majority.
The EU Commission concludes in the report that despite the progresses made, Albania has failed to fulfill the criteria.
The Commissioner for EU enlargement, Stefan Fule, declared that Albania did not fulfill the required criteria, emphasizing the political crisis.
