The good will for making good elections or to ruin them was part of the debate in today’s parliamentary session.
Deputy Damian Gjiknuri reminded the Integration Minister meeting with the European Commission and also the political parties’ dialogue table. He questioned the sincerity of the government when inviting the opposition to these activities.
“The invitation, more than Berisha’s plead for solving this situation, was a maneuver for the moment, on the verge of the diplomats’ visit that were coming from Washington and Brussels. He wanted to demonstrate that he was trying, but the opposition was against cooperation”, Gjiknuri said.
Mr. Gjiknuri said that the majority presented on the dialogue table only a declarative draft-agreement, while the opposition had the good will to discuss on essential election problems.
“He was declaring on this agreement that the parties would respect the Election Central Commission, but nothing about the “Ristan-ocracy” that has invaded the ECC”, Gjiknuri emphasized.
The democrat deputy, Osman Metalla, accused the opposition for not having the good will to perform good elections
“The opposition didn’t show the slightest desire for having the electoral reform. They tried to impede ECC’s work. Evil minds have started to impede the citizens to vote”, Metalla said.
By the end, the Parliament approved the resolution that values the ECC’s work for 2010. Opposition did not participate in the voting process, since they accuse ECC of making illegal decisions.
