SP: DP is lobbying with the people’s money

Referring to the news reported yesterday by Top Channel about the
agreement signed between the Albanian Government and Patton Box, a
consulting and lobbying American company, the opposition declared that
this agreement was kept secret by the Albanian government.
“Now that the agreement is public – not by the government, but thanks to the media – we can see why it was kept secret. The Albanian government is using the people’s money to cover its electoral campaign expenses. The agreement between the Albanian government and Patton Box was signed by the wrong person, on the wrong time, with the wrong content and is paid with the wrong money”, declared the Socialist MP, Ermonela Felaj.
According to Felaj, the only reason why this agreement was signed is related with the electoral campaign.
“All services that are included in this agreement, starting by the training of MPs and Ministers, the interventions to secure interviews in the foreign media, the blockage of negative news, promotion of positive news and the curing of the Prime Minister’s image, show that Patton Boggs is serving to the DP electoral campaign. For this reason, this agreement should have been signed by a Democratic Party representative, but not by the General Secretary of the Council of Ministers. This agreement should have been paid by the Democratic Party funds, but not by the Albanian tax payers”, Felaj declared.
Felej underlined that this is another scandal of the Prime Minister to cover the campaign expenses, and another abuse with the people’s money.
