SP displays proofs for CEC manipulations

The Socialist Party presented to the public what they call proofs of manipulation by the Central Election Commission for Tirana mayoral race results, which, according to Socialist Party, was changed after the voting process had finished and after Edi Rama was declared winner.

Gramoz Ruçi made a detailed analyze of the actions taken by CEC for recounting the ballot boxes of nine municipal units.

According to Ruçi, facts show scandalous inconsistencies between the
number of voters and total ballots counted by CEC, which has brought an
absurd result.

“We have documentation for 117 voting centers reviewed by the Commission. With only a short glimpse you can understand that there are 375 ballots more than voters”, Ruçi declared.

According to him, Berisha did not allow the arithmetical error to be corrected. Ruçi also wished that this electoral crime will not be continued by the Electoral College too.

Another example that Ruçi displayed was the one of Voting Center 1931 at Municipal Unit 8, where the contested ballots register clearly shows, according to Ruçi, the modifications made after the process was over. The head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group said that not only the calligraphy was different, but also the codes of the voting centers that were added afterwards.

“This was seen at Voting Center 1931. The manipulation has been made to three ballot boxes, and the writing has another type of calligraphy”, Ruçi declared.

The Socialist Deputy said that these facts show that votes counted by CEC were added after the process was over, and this can be seen very easily. In such conditions, the appeal of the Socialist Party was clear:

“I hope that this electoral crime will not be continued by the Electoral College”, Ruçi declared.
