The Socialist MPs of Tirana asked the Parliament Speaker to take
disciplinary measure against Prime Minister Berisha and exclude him from
the plenary sessions for 15 days, after Berisha’s offences and threats
against the Socialist MP, Sajmir Tahiri.

The request says that on October 13th of 2011, the MP Sali Berisha has offended and threatened the opposition MPs, infringing not only every moral and ethical law, but also the regulation of the Parliament.

The Socialists demand the assembly of the Parliament Bureau for taking a disciplinary measure of giving a 15 day suspension to the MP Sali Berisha.

The request of the Socialists quote Berisha’s threat to Tahiri “I’ll make your face blacker than your shoe”, an expression that Berisha has not used for the first time and has never been penalized for it.

“For this reasons, we believe that the behavior and the vocabulary used by the MP Sali Berisha is not consistent with the spirit of a constructive dialogue in the Parliament, or either with the respect towards the opposition and the citizens. But above all, it infringes the Parliament’s Regulation for the behavior of the MPs in the Parliament Floor.

“Based on article 65.2, we demand the assembly of the Parliament Bureau for taking the disciplinary measure of a 15 day suspension and for withholding his payment for the respective days of this disciplinary measure”, says the Socialist MPs request.
