SP Congress says “no” to Ben Blushi candidacy

One day after the declaration of Ben Blushi that he will run for the
Socialist Congress as an alternative of Edi Rama, the party closed his
chances to run.
The Socialist Parliamentary Group leader, Taulant Balla, said for Top Channel that the congress will have only a reconfirmation of the current leader, Edi Rama.
“The debate is useless since the SP adopted the winning model of the British labourists, which sanctions that the SP leader is chosen by one vote for each member, and Rama was chosen in 2009 when the race was open and anyone could participate. When the leader is Prime Minister under this model, his mandate is automatically renewed until the next elections”, Balla declared.
