For the Socialists, the alarm signals released by the IMF must be seriously taken
in consideration, because the situation is going out of control. The
debt has reached concerning levels, to the point that it hampers its
reduction in a short-term period.
For better controlling the budget situation and the general expenses, the Socialist MP Arben Ahmetaj suggested the establishment of a special office at the Parliament, composed of qualified staff, for making a very technical monitoring and avoid unpleasant surprises.
Speaking on Shqip newspaper, the member of the Parliamentary Commission of Economy says that the protection of the debt level by Constitution might be a right way of doing it, but the current situation requires immediate discussions, and only after this they can decide on the determining criteria.
