SP: CEZ has robbed the Albanians

The Socialist Party is continuing to report what they consider the privatization scandal of the former Distribution System Operator (DSO), which was sold to CEZ by violating the laws and by abusing with the energy bills.

“The Albanian consumers have paid 60 million USD more than what they have consumed. The overcharged bills reach 18%, at around 60 million USD that were robbed from the Albanian citizens abusively”, Arben Ahmetaj declared.

The Socialist MP declared that there have been many citizens who have reported the SP for overcharging. But according to him, the government and the Energy Regulation Entity (ERE) have done nothing to defend the consumer, and even ERE has not monitored its decision that was issued in 2010 and obliged CEZ to end the fixed quota bill.

“But the Albanian consumers still pay fixed-quota bills, and this is another serious violation of the government that damages the consumers”, Ahmetaj declared. The Socialist Party declared that the recent voices for returning the DSO to the government will not remove their fault for what he considered the biggest scandal in the privatization of the energy sector.

Socialist Arben Ahmetaj showed once again the chart for the capital of the DSO, where a company with a capital of 187.5 million USD before the sale today has a negative capital, which he considers an asset of the Albanians that has been thrown away due to the irresponsibility of the government.
