Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future One day after the Central Election Commission’s decision for the Waste
Import law, the opposition accused it of being a tool in the hands of
Berisha.
The Socialist MP, Blendi Klosi, supported the Civil Society and guaranteed that the law would be repealed after the SP would come to power.
“The CEC Chairman, Arben Ristani, showed once again that for defending the dangerous interests of the government, he is ready to violate the Constitution, the laws and even the people’s will. By using the same abuses, arrogance and ignorance that have turned CEC into a notorious and discredited institution in front of the public, Ristani completely ignored the will of dozens of thousands of Albanians, and the repeated requests of the international community for allowing the waste import referendum. SP guarantees not only the Civil Society initiators of this referendum request, but every citizen of Albania, that this decision will be repealed after SP comes to power, since it only aims to turn Albania into a rubbish bin of foreign countries”, Klosi declared.
