Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The opposition accused the Minister of Finances of creating untrue reasons to justify the delay of payments.
According to MP Eglantina Gjermeni, the government has no money and has taken loans with high interest rates.
“Minister Bode answered to the accusations of the Socialist Party for the delayed payment of the state administration, as if he was a bank cashier. Ridvan Bode tried to convince us that the wages were blocked because the budget has not entered to effect. Another time he tried to blame the Treasury for blocking the funds, and now found the justification that the institutions have not sent the payments on time. We are sure that the institutions led by the party militants are incapable, but the truth is that the state has no money and the government was obliged to take loans with high interests to be able to pay. Today, when one third of January has gone by, they have paid the employees only partially”, Gjermeni declared.
