SP blames Berisha for immunity

The Socialist MP, Fatmir Xhafaj, accused the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, of withholding the integrity of our country.
Speaking in a press release Xhafaj underlined that the public opinion is already made aware about the initiative that the SP submitted to Parliament for Constitutional amends, underlining that the Parliament Speaker Jozefina Topalli has shown an arrogant behavior.
“The Democratic Party MPs asked for more time to review the draft, although they had it in their desks for 15 days”, Xhafaj declared.
According to him, the Prime Minister doesn’t really want the immunity limitation. “The European Union cannot accept this power concentration. Berisha’s goal is to control all independent judiciary institutions”, Xhafaj declared.
