SP: Berisha trying to rob Shale

31/08/2011 20:05

After failing with the request at the Central Election Commission for
considering Shale elections as invalid, as expected, the
Democratic Party sent the request at the Electoral College.

No one knows who will be the judges that will review the complaint this Friday. Such an action, while the Socialist candidate is declared winner, is seen as an open attempt for stealing the mandate.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla accused the Prime Minister of being behind this theft.

“Sali Berisha, his party and the election stealing machinery are withholding the final result because they want to rob even the mandate of the Shale commune. After misusing the State Police on the elections day, with helicopters and special forces, after counting the votes with Ristani, after all Albanians saw the victory of our candidate in Shale, Berisha refused to accept the loss and once again is putting in action the scheme for stealing in cooperation with the Central Election Commission and the Electoral College”, Balla declared.

After Tirana, the Shale commune in Shkoder district was the most problematic for these local elections. After failing with the electoral process for three consequent times, the Shale commune race finally ended on Sunday August 21st, when 2800 electors had the opportunity to vote.

The debates were present even in the final voting day, this time for the location of the counting process.

The Socialists refused to count the votes at the CEC, but the decision of this institution realized the Democrats’ desire for performing the counting process in Tirana. The Candidate Bale Vuksani from the coalition of the Socialist Party was declared winner with three votes ahead his rival Dede Tonaj.

If the Electoral College will rule in favor of the Democratic Party for calling the process invalid, Shale commune would repeat the voting process for the fifth time, which means other millions of expenses for the Special Forces that guaranteed order before and after the voting process.
