SP: Berisha must resign

The Socialist Party keeps insisting that the Prime Minister’s children should explain how they have accumulated their wealth.

MP Taulant Balla calculated the money Argita Berisha, the Prime Minister’s daughter, claims of having profited through teaching.

“Argita Berisha declared that last year she profited 14.6 million ALL from teaching. As a teacher, she has been paid with more than 12.000 USD monthly for 12 months, not 9 as all the others. A poor Albania needs a real rebirth, where teaching is still an underpaid sector. By calculating it with the prices, it seems that Argita must teach 4867 hours each year, or 22 hours each day to justify that wage. This is not an accusation or slander, but a logical calculation that the new ‘Blue Blockmen’ deny”, Balla declared, using “Blue Blockmen” to compare the Democratic Party wealthy members with the  former communist members who lived in a special block and were informally known as “blockmen”.

While the opposition is receiving no answer from the Prime Minister’s children, Taulant Balla asked the Prime Minister to resign.

“We’re doing what all oppositions through the democratic world do, and if the Prime Minister’s children have no answer, their father must resign as many other government leaders in Europe. If the Prime Minister’s children keep hiding behind their father’s power, it is our right and that of all honest Albanians to believe that this is flagrant evidence that this state has fallen prey to the private interests of the Blue Block”, Balla declared.

The only answer received by the opposition was from the DP Spokesperson, who, according to Balla, simply slandered the opposition and gave no answer to the accusations.
