Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Socialist MPs of the Parliamentary Commission of Laws invited
Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the Speaker Jozefina Topalli, together with the heads of all other Parliamentary groups, in a dialogue table for discussing
about the justice system reforms.
Top Channel has secured one of the invitations sent some days ago by the vice chairman of the Commission of Laws, Fatmir Xhafaj.
The goal of this wide discussion table, which will be held on Friday morning, is to review the points offered by the Socialist lawmakers regarding the challenge of the Albanian justice in front of the integration processes. This dialogue table will also aim to reflect on the recommendations of the EU Progress Report, which says that the progress in justice is not enough.
The organizers of this dialogue have also invited EU mission representatives to assist in the discussions for the justice reforms, together with well known academics and representatives from interest groups, who will offer their advises for the Socialist approach on the challenge of implementing the integration processes in the justice system.
An interesting point of debate will be the position of the Socialist Parliamentary Group regarding the approval of draft laws that require qualified majority.
This move of the Socialist Parliamentary Group is a novelty for the recent political developments in Albania. They have sent an invitation to the PM Sali Berisha too.
