After Top Channel’s Program “Fiks Fare” reported the violence used
against the women that are being sheltered in a center for violence
victims, the human rights organization, Amnesty International, declared
that the director of this shelter should be fired.
“We recommend the discharge of the director and for taking measures to protect the victims. The center has been created with national funds and the abuses reveal the need to monitor the public centers”, AI declared.
Amnesty International referred to a previous recommendation of the Ombudsman, which inspected the center right after Fiks Fare’s report.
The International Human Rights Organization appealed the Albanian government to take immediate measures to defend violence victims.
